The Repertoire of Dr Turberville's Morris!

This is a temporary page, a work in progress, giving links to a new page or pages describing the "traditions" or styles (each tradition describes a group of dances collected from a given locality or belonging to a specified locale, and having a common style or feel to them) and the more detailed descriptions of each of the dances.

At the moment it contains the bones of the planned content: a list of traditions, and a table of dances. The table lists just about every dance we (the current members as at 2007) can remember having danced; but many have not been danced for at least 10 years, maybe longer!

It might be interesting to trawl through the archives and add the names of at least some of the other dances performed in the earlier years, say the first 9 or so which are not yet included here. Later, maybe!

Further comments added 2009: we have since carried out fairly extensive research (2008-9) and established with some confidence the list of "Wayford" dances, now published in a booklet. Similar work (2009) on the "Oddington Wells" dances is to be published shortly.
